is the science concerned with the complex pattern of individual and cultural diversity and commonality. My key interest lies in the ways in which human beings understand and communicate across and along those lines. Naturally, this led me into the field of cognitive anthropology and the anthropology of knowledge and science, encompassing the spectrum from the most local of local detail to the most global of global structures and from an elementary baseline of immediate experience to the highest systems of formal abstraction.
